The Australian had a short article on head lice on Saturday.
While just a journalist’s opinion rather than a medical piece, it did mention a “new” concept in lice treatment: Using plain conditioner and a fine toothed comb to brush the little mongrels out!
While I think that the writer’s success with one attempt was probably more good fortune than good planning, there is an effective technique promoted by the WA Health Department. You can find a pdf file with some general information on lice and the 10-day conditioner treatment here
Be warned: this is a labour intensive method, but is safe, effective and inexpensive.
